On the view that the hadith stating that the iron ring is the adornment of the people of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection is authentic, how is it reconciled with the hadith of the woman who offered herself?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Assuming the other hadith is authentic, that ... is the adornment of the people of the Fire, how is it reconciled with this one?

The Shaykh : If it is authentic, it can be said that this is from the clothing of the people of the Fire, meaning that this is from the garments that the people of the Fire are specifically characterized by. Its meaning is that the disbelievers in the time of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) were wearing this type of ring.

The questioner : Is it not permissible to wear it?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible to wear it if it is imitating the disbelievers. If it is imitating the disbelievers, it is not permissible. However, if it becomes widespread and common, it is no longer described as imitation.
