These are invalid and fabricated hadiths attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Q: Some of the worshippers in the Dar al-Na'im district of Bur Sudan say: One day in our mosque, one of the pretenders to knowledge delivered a sermon to us after leading us in the midday prayer. He narrated to us, saying: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lost his wife Khadijah, he slaughtered a camel for her and held a mourning ceremony for her for three days. He said that this was mentioned in a hadith of Qatadah. Then he cited another hadith, refusing to identify its narrator, saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am a tree, and Ali is its trunk, Fatimah is its branches, and al-Hasan and al-Husayn are its fruits. Then he brought up a third hadith in which he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) encountered a Jewish man at one of the mountains of Makkah one day, and he said to him: Have you not believed in me? The Jew said: I do not believe in you. He said to him: Call that tree. He called to it, saying: Muhammad is calling you. It came to him, shading him with its branches and dragging its roots. He said to it: Who am I? It said: You are Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. The Jew then spoke the two testimonies of faith, and then the tree ascended to the heavens and circled the Throne, the Footstool, the Preserved Tablet, and the Pen. It asked Allah for permission to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: O Jew, accept the hand and foot of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then he told another story, saying: Uthman ibn 'Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) found a man circumambulating the Ka'bah, and he said to him: You are a fornicator. The man said: How did you know that? He said: I knew it in your eyes. The man said: I did not commit fornication, but I looked at a Jewish woman. The man said to Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him): Did you know that by revelation? He said: No, but it is the intuition of the believer. When he was asked for evidence, his supporters nearly attacked us. We hope to know the ruling of the Shari'ah on this?

A: All these reports mentioned by this preacher are invalid and fabricated against the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they have no basis. No mourning ceremony was held for the death of Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), nor was a camel slaughtered, nor were people invited to a mourning ceremony, as some people do today. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray for Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) frequently, and on some occasions he would slaughter a sheep and distribute it to her close friends and companions as a gift and an act of kindness, and he would pray for her and be kind to her through his supplications.
Likewise, what he said about the tree, all of it is false and has no basis, as is what he said about the Jew. All of this is a lie from the lies of the fabricating criminals.
Likewise, what was narrated about Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and the man, and Qatadah is not a Companion but a Successor.
The point is that these four reports: all of them are invalid and have no authenticity. However, it is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in other hadiths that he called to some trees and they obeyed him, and that is one of the signs of prophethood. The story is established in Sahih Muslim. It is that on one of his journeys, he wanted to relieve himself, so he called to two trees, and they came together, and he sat between them until he had relieved himself, then each tree returned to its place. This is one of the signs of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and one of the proofs of His great power, and that He (Exalted and Majestic is He) says to a thing, "Be," and it is. This is also one of the proofs of the truthfulness of the Messenger of Allah, and that he is truly the Messenger of Allah. This is different from the report mentioned by this fabricator.
Therefore, one should warn against these liars, and the preacher should fear Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) when he preaches to the people, and remind them of what benefits them in their religion from the verses of the Qur'an and the authentic Prophetic hadiths, and in them is sufficiency and healing. It is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Whoever narrates a hadith from me while he knows it to be a lie, he is one of the liarsمن حدث عني بحديث وهو يرى أنه كذب فهو أحد الكاذبين
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 18:308
Narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever says something about me that I did not say, let him take his place in Hell.من قال علي ما لم أقل فليتبوأ مقعده من النار
Musnad Ahmad 469Hasan (Darussalam)
Agreed upon as authentic. And there are many hadiths in this meaning.
