Advice for a person who has recently committed to the religion

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: By the praise of Allah, I have been steadfast upon the religion of Allah for about a month. I feel firm when I am with some of the righteous brothers, but when I part from them due to my busyness and work, I find a deficiency in my faith. What do you advise me?

A: We advise you to be steadfast in the company of the good. If you part from them for some of your business, fear Allah and remember that He, the Exalted, is watching over you, and He is greater than them. Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
[Surat al-Nisa: 1] And He, the Exalted, said:
(218) Who sees you when you arise (219) And your movement among those who prostrate.الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ
[Surat al-Shu'ara: 218 - 219] And He, the Exalted, said:
Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us.لا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا
[Surat al-Tawbah: 40].
So Allah is watching over you, so fear Allah, and remember that you are in His presence and that He sees you in both obedience and disobedience. So beware of the punishment of Allah, and beware of doing what angers Him, the Exalted. And He, the Glorious and Exalted, said:
And Allah warns you of Himselfوَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَهُ
[Surat Ali 'Imran: 28] And He, the Exalted, said:
And fear Me alone.وَإِيَّايَ فَارْهَبُونِ
[Surat al-Baqarah: 40].
So you must be truthful with Allah, and steadfast upon the religion of Allah, the Exalted, in your seclusion and with your companions and in every place, for you are within the hearing and sight of Allah; He hears your words and sees your deeds. So you must be more ashamed of Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, than you are ashamed of your family or of anyone other than your family.
