Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: {And as for he who fears the standing before his Lord...} verses

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I ask for an explanation of the saying of Allah the Exalted from Surat al-Naziat:
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَى ۝
[An-Nazi'at 79:40]
So indeed, Paradise is the place of return [al-Naziat: 40-41]. What are the matters that restrain the self from its desires? And is a woman’s work among these matters that one must restrain the self from in the case where she does not have a material need to work?

A: This verse is a great verse and its meaning is clear. Before it, Allah the Exalted says:
So as for he who transgressedفَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَى ۝
[An-Nazi'at 79:37]
And preferred the life of this world, So indeed, the Blazing Fire is the place of return, And as for he who fears the standing before his Lord the verse [al-Naziat: 37 - 40]. That is: he feared standing before Allah; therefore, he restrained his self from its forbidden desires, meaning: he restrained it from the sins that the soul desires. This is the one who has Paradise and honor. Indeed, the soul may incline toward fornication, intoxicants, and usury, and toward other things that Allah has forbidden, and it desires them for reasons. If Allah guides the believing man or believing woman to fight this desire, oppose it, and not obey it, this becomes one of the causes of entering Paradise.
And a woman’s work is permissible if it is lawful or prescribed, and if it does not lead to any of the sins, such as seclusion with a non-mahram man, or disobedience to the husband, or the like of what Allah has forbidden for her.
