The ruling on a woman going out to the market while wearing perfume
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: What is your response to someone who gives a box of perfume to another woman? Is this permissible? Knowing that the woman receiving the gift goes out into the street wearing this perfume, and does the giver of the gift incur sin?
A: Giving perfume to a woman is not a problem; because a gift brings affection and love, and the giver receives a reward. If the woman receiving the gift uses this perfume in a forbidden manner, the sin is upon her. However, if the giver knows that the recipient uses this perfume when going out to the market, it is not permissible for her to do so; because that falls under the category of assisting in sin and aggression. And Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ma'idah: 2].
