A woman going to the market without a mahram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Finally, you ask and say: Is it permissible for a woman to enter the market with her mahram, but he remains in the car while she gets out to attend to her needs, even though she is wearing hijab and sometimes exposes her hands only out of necessity?
Answer: Going to the market does not require a mahram if the market is safe and the road is safe, with no danger; there is no need for a mahram. The mahram is required for travel. However, if the mahram goes with her out of fear for her safety from the harm of foolish people, or because the market involves mixing that is feared, or similar dangers, there is no harm in the mahram being with her. Or, she may be accompanied by trustworthy, good women, one or more, if she fears going alone. She may go with a good woman or more to help her purchase her needs and return. In any case, if there is no danger, there is no necessity for a mahram or anyone else. But if there is danger in the market, or she fears danger, or fears harm from some foolish people, she should be with a mahram or with some good women who help her remain safe from harm, and praise be to Allah.
She should not expose her hands or anything else; she must observe hijab. The palm is 'awrah, the face is 'awrah, and the foot is 'awrah. The entire woman is 'awrah. The Lord says: :
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
[Al-Ahzab:53], and in the hadith, he (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
A woman is an awrahالمرأة عورة
, and he did not say: "except her face" or "except her hands." He made her 'awrah, so she must cover herself. And the Lord says: :
not expose their adornment except to their husbandsوَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ
[An-Nur:31]. The hand is part of the adornment, and the face is part of the adornment. And if there is jewelry or henna on the hand, the matter becomes even greater. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
