The Ruling on Seeking the Help of a Sorcerer to Remove Sorcery
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is it permissible for me to seek the help of a sorcerer to remove the sorcery present in the garden plants, provided I do not seek his help in any other matter? I ask your Eminence for a quick response, as I am in dire necessity. May Allah reward you with good, and peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. A lady from al-Ta'if.
A: And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings, and after that:
It is not permissible to seek the help of sorcerers in any matter; rather, it is obligatory to kill them and eliminate them by the state if their practice of sorcery is established through the Shari'ah courts. We advise you to fear Allah the Exalted, and to ask Him for healing and well-being from all evil, and to seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, three times in the morning and evening, and to say in the morning and evening:Sunan Ibn Majah 3869 three times, and to recite the Verse of the Throne when going to sleep, and after every obligatory prayer following the prescribed dhikr, and to recite [Al-Ikhlas 112:1] and [Al-Falaq 113:1] and [An-Nas 114:1] three times after the Fajr prayer, after the Maghrib prayer, and when going to sleep. By doing so, you will be safe, if Allah wills, from all evil, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) advised this. May Allah heal you and grant you well-being from all evil.
We see that the matter should be referred to the head of the authority in al-Ta'if and disclosed regarding the location of the person accused of sorcery, so that a case can be filed against him in the court to take the necessary action against him.
May Allah guide everyone to what pleases Him, and peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
