Does sleep invalidate the ablution?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The questioner, Umm Khalid, says: A woman became ritually pure, then she slept in the car while on her way to Makkah. Then she performed the circumambulation without performing the ablution, and she remained in the state of tamattu' until Hajj, where she completed her Hajj and exited the state of ihram. What is required of her? May Allah reward you with good.

A: In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Allah.
If the sleep that overtook her was of the nature of drowsiness, there is no blame on her, for drowsiness does not invalidate the ablution. However, if she was completely immersed in the kind of sleep that invalidates the ablution, her ruling is the ruling of one who did not perform the circumambulation of the House. She would be considered to have performed qiran, and the tawaf al-ifadah and sa'y al-ifadah suffice for the tawaf of 'Umrah and its sa'y, and all praise is due to Allah.
