The ruling on the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers if a woman becomes ritually pure before dawn
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A question from: A. H. M. - He says: When a menstruating woman becomes ritually pure before the sun rises, is it obligatory for her to pray the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers? And likewise, when she becomes ritually pure before the sun sets, is it obligatory for her to pray the Dhuhr and 'Asr prayers?
A: If a menstruating woman or a woman with post-natal bleeding becomes ritually pure before the sun sets, it is obligatory for her to pray the Dhuhr and 'Asr prayers, according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars. Likewise, if she becomes ritually pure before the appearance of dawn, it is obligatory for her to pray the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers.
This was reported from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf and 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and it is the opinion of the majority of the scholars of knowledge.
Likewise, if a menstruating woman or a woman with post-natal bleeding becomes ritually pure before the sun rises, it is obligatory for her to pray the Fajr prayer. And success is from Allah.
