A: It is not permissible to be in the company of him or any other disbeliever; because abandoning the prayer is major shirk (associating partners with Allah) according to the most correct of the scholars' opinions, even if he does not deny its obligation; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 82b narrated by Muslim in the Sahih, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan Ibn Majah 1079Sahih (Darussalam) narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah with a sound chain, along with other evidence indicating this.
