A Woman Praying in the Mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: A woman asks and says: Is it permissible for a woman to pray in the mosque while she is covered and modest, has not applied perfume, and is not displaying her adornment, and she intends thereby the face of Allah , except that her husband is not pleased with it? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

A: It is permissible for a woman to pray in the mosque with covering and without perfume, and her husband has no right to prevent her from doing so if she adheres to the Shari'ah etiquettes; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not prevent the female servant your women from visiting the mosques of Allah.لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله
Sunan Abi Dawud 566
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When women ask permission for going to the mosque, do not prevent them.إذا استأذنت أحدكم امرأته إلى المسجد فلا يمنعها
Sahih Muslim 442a
It is agreed upon that it is authentic.
So if she goes out modestly and without perfume, there is no harm, even if her husband is not pleased, due to the two hadiths mentioned. And if she prays in her home and does not go out, that is better for her purification and to stay away from the causes of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation); due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Do not prevent the female servant your women from visiting the mosques of Allah.لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله، وبيوتهن خير لهن
Sunan Abi Dawud 566
