The ruling on praying the greeting of the mosque during one of the times when prayer is prohibited

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: If a man enters the mosque during a time when prayer is prohibited, should he pray the greeting of the mosque or not?

A: It is better for him to pray the greeting of the mosque, according to the most correct of the scholars' opinions, due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
It is agreed upon that it is authentic. If he sits and does not pray, there is no blame on him.
