Is the prohibition of amulets specific to polytheists?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Those who attach themselves to these things, such as hanging amulets and the like, when a person advises them and reminds them, they say: These verses were revealed regarding the polytheists in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). But we are Muslims?

Answer:
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited this. The Messenger said:
Whoever hangs up an amulet, Allah will not complete [his affair] for himمن تعلق تميمة فلا أتم الله له
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 17:557
, Allah prohibited this and said:
it will only increase you in weaknessلا تزيدك إلا وهنا
Sunan Ibn Majah 3531Da’if (Darussalam)
He said to 'Imran and said:
Whoever hangs up an amulet has committed shirk.من تعلق تميمة فقد أشرك
, explaining to him the hadiths that these attachments divert hearts away from Allah, diverting hearts toward created things.
Q: Are the verses general, including them and others?
A: Yes, according to what came in the texts. As for beneficial medicines and lawful means, there is no harm in them, such as what a person eats and drinks, and what he wears in winter, the warm thing, and in summer, the light thing, and such as what he cools himself with a fan.
