The Meaning of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) Supplication for the Forgiveness of His Sins
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
It is difficult for a person to understand… the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his seeking forgiveness for sins; so what does he say regarding these sins?
Answer:
Just as he said in his supplication during prostration: “O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the small and the large, the first and the last, the public and the private.” He may commit a sin, but Allah forgives it for him because of his faith, his mindfulness of Allah, and his great supplications, (peace and blessings be upon him). And Allah informed him that He had forgiven his sins, but he is a grateful servant who asks his Lord for that and humbles himself before Him.
