Ruling on pointing during the tashahhud for one whose index finger is severed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the index finger is severed, if the finger here is a severed finger..?

Answer:
It appears—may Allah know best—that if he points with the middle finger or the thumb, it is all good, if Allah wills. The intention is to point to the oneness of Allah (tawhid). So if he points with whatever remains of it, that suffices. If something remains and he points with the remainder, that suffices.
