Ruling on Delaying Circumcision and When It Becomes Necessary

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Mutayr Nayr al-Juhani from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah sent a question, saying: My son passed away when he had completed one year of age, and I had not yet performed his circumcision. Am I sinful for this? Do I owe an expiation?

Answer:
There is no blame on you for this, because circumcision does not become obligatory during the age of breastfeeding. Even if you did not circumcise him until he was five, six, or more years old, there is no blame. However, he should be circumcised before he reaches puberty. If he is circumcised during the age of breastfeeding, it is easier and more convenient, and the matter is broad, and praise be to Allah. If he died without being circumcised, there is no blame on him; because circumcision is not obligatory at the age of breastfeeding, but it is permissible to delay it until before puberty. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
