Question:
A letter from Algiers, the capital, was received, and its sender included eight questions in it. In one of them, he asks and says: Explain to us the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2:307?
Answer:
The hadith is clear. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: So this is what is obligatory for the one who prostrates: to prostrate on the seven limbs. His forehead and nose are one, his two hands are three, his two knees are five, and the tips of his two feet are seven. He does not tie up his hair. If he has braids, he leaves them as they are; he does not tuck them in; they prostrate with him. Or the end of his garment, such as his sleeves, or the end of his turban; there is no harm in that. The Sunnah is to prostrate with them without tying them up during prostration. He prostrates in the state he is in, without changing anything. He does not tie up hair, whether hair on the head, a sleeve, or a turban. Rather, he prostrates on all of it, without tying up anything, in submission to Allah, in desire for what is with Him, in turning toward humility, and in caution against distraction and lack of humility. Yes.
The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
