The Shaykh : Yes. Some people, when they prostrate, lift the tips of their feet off the ground. Is that permissible or not? We say it is not permissible, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
We have been ordered to prostrates on seven bones أُمرنا أن نَسجد على سبعة أعظم
Sahih al-Bukhari 810
We were commanded in this wording, and in another wording:
I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones; on the forehead - and he pointed at his nose, the hands (the palms), the knees and the tips (toes) of the feet. أُمرت أن نسجد على سبعة أعظم على الجبهة وأشار بيده إلى أنفه والكفين والركبتين وأطراف القدمين
