The ruling on a man remaining with a wife who does not pray
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent from Buraydah in the Qasim region by a listener, (S. A. M.), who says: I have a wife who does not pray, and I have ordered her to pray several times, but she still does not pray. Sometimes she says that she prays, but I have not seen her do so. What is your guidance, may Allah preserve you?
Answer:
If you know that she does not pray, it is obligatory for you to separate from her; because abandoning the prayer is major shirk (associating partners with Allah) according to the correct opinion, even if she does not deny its obligation. There is no good in her if you know that she does not pray; so remove her, divorce her, and be glad for the good, for Allah will replace her with something better for you [al-Talaq:2]. But before this, advise her and order her to repent; perhaps she will repent and Allah will guide her through your means, in which case you will have a reward like hers. If she refuses, or if you see that she is lying; then remove her, separate from her, divorce her, and be glad for the good. Yes.

And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out
