The ruling on one who leaves the prayer due to an illness that afflicted him for several days

Question:
You say: After the end of my menstrual period, I was struck by a health crisis that confined me to my bed, meaning: for approximately five days. During these days—namely: the five days after the menstrual period—I did not perform the obligatory prayer. So, are these days considered part of the menstrual period, or should I pray for these days that I left, such as praying each time twice for five days, or should I pray them all at once? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
It is obligatory for you to make up the prayers, the obligatory prayers that you left after becoming pure. It is obligatory to make up all of them, even if in one time if you are able, otherwise according to your capacity. Pray three prayers, four, five, then you rest, then you pray the rest, and so on. You must hasten and be prompt. You have erred in this matter, so you must repent to Allah for that; because illness does not prevent one from praying. A person prays even if he is sick. If he is able to stand, he prays standing. If he is unable, he prays sitting. If he is unable, he prays on his side.
Therefore, when 'Umaran ibn al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about his illness, he said:Sunan Abi Dawud 952Sahih (Al-Albani) So the sick person prays according to his condition, and it is not permissible for him to leave the prayer. Rather, he prays according to his capacity: standing if he is able, if he is unable he prays sitting, if he is unable he prays on his side, if he is unable he prays lying down; because Allah says: [Surat al-Taghabun: 16]. The one on his side, or lying down, prays with the remembrance and whatever action he is able to do. He says the takbir, he recites, he says the takbir and intends the bowing, saying: Subhan Rabbi al-'Azeem (Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent). He says: Sami' Allahu li man hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him), intending the rising, while he is on his side, or lying down. Then he says the takbir intending the prostration, saying: Subhan Rabbi al-A'la (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High). And so on with the intention and the words. May Allah guide them all.
