The ruling on the prayer of one who intentionally omits the supplication between the two prostrations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner asks about the supplication between the two prostrations if the one praying omits it intentionally; what is the ruling on his prayer?
The correct view is that it is invalid; because it is obligatory, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded it and said:
offer your prayers in the way you saw me offering my prayersصلُّوا كما رأيتُموني أُصلي
Sahih al-Bukhari 6008
, so if he does not say: "My Lord, forgive me" between the two prostrations intentionally, and he knows the ruling, he is not ignorant; his prayer is invalid. But if he is ignorant or forgetful, he owes nothing. However, if he is the imam or praying alone and he is forgetful, he prostrates for forgetfulness. But if he is following the imam, he owes nothing.
