The ruling on repenting from abandoning prayer during childhood

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You also say: When I was ten years old, I started praying, but I abandoned prayer without knowing that abandoning prayer is disbelief. Then I returned to it, and I abandoned it again, without knowing that this act is forbidden, and no one advised me against it. But when I became fourteen years old, I repented to Allah the Exalted, I wept a lot, and I sought Allah's forgiveness a lot, and I did not abandon prayer after that. So, do I have a sin? And what do I do to expiate my sin?

Answer:
Repentance is sufficient, may Allah bless you. Repentance, with the praise of Allah, is sufficient. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said:
And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
[Surat al-Nur: 31], and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.التائب من الذنب كمن لا ذنب له
Sunan Ibn Majah 4250Da’if (Darussalam)
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Verily migration wipes out all the previous (misdeeds)والتوبة تهدم ما كان قبلها
Sahih Muslim 121
meaning it removes what came before it. This is if you had reached puberty through menstruation, or through discharge due to a wet dream.
As for if you had not reached puberty, then the obligation of prayer is not obligatory upon you. You are only commanded to do it to get accustomed to it, and to be consistent with it after puberty. And if you had reached puberty, then repentance is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
