The ruling on leading prayer for one who has urinary incontinence and the method of his purification

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Following this, a message was received by the program from one of the listening brothers, who indicated his name with the letters (N. S). Our brother says: I am afflicted with incontinence, and sometimes water comes out of me in the amount of a drop or two drops. Also, sometimes I lead people in prayer as an imam. Is it permissible for me to do so, or not? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If the incontinence is continuous with you, and it is the discharge of water—meaning urine—then do not perform ablution except when the time enters. Whenever the time enters, perform ablution, and if you have performed ablution, pray with that ablution as long as you are within the time, like the woman with irregular bleeding whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered to perform ablution for every prayer, because her state of impurity is permanent, which is the discharge of blood.
So likewise, the one whose urine is continuous with him performs ablution for every prayer, meaning: when the time enters, he performs ablution for the 'Asr prayer when its time enters, and he prays until the time exits, and he reads the Qur'an from the mushaf, and so on. He performs ablution for the Maghrib prayer and prays until the twilight disappears, and so on. After the 'Isha' prayer, he performs ablution until the time exits.
The point is: that for the person with incontinence, there is an ablution for every time. The most cautious course for you is not to lead people in prayer as an imam, because a group of scholars hold that the person with incontinence does not lead people in prayer. And if you do lead them, the prayer is valid—Allah willing—according to the correct opinion, but leaving it is preferable. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
