Advice for one who has been afflicted with a stepmother who does not fear Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She has a complaint, and there is some bitterness in it, O Shaykh. The complaint is about her stepmother, and she describes her with descriptions that you, in your nobility, would refrain from listening to. It would be best if you directed her, and directed that woman who is being complained about. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for every believing man and woman to fear Allah the Exalted, and to beware of wronging their brother or sister in Allah. It is obligatory for a stepmother, for a sister’s wife, and for every Muslim woman to fear Allah and to beware of wronging her husband’s daughter, her husband’s sister, or anyone else. So my advice to everyone is to fear Allah, and for every man and every woman to beware of wronging others in word and deed.
And it is upon the one who has been afflicted with a wicked stepmother, or a sister’s wife, or anyone else, to ask Allah for well-being from their evil, and to supplicate to Allah earnestly that He protect her from their evil. She should be diligent in reciting the prescribed protections in the morning and evening, such as:
I take refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He createdأعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق
Sunan Abi Dawud 3898Sahih (Al-Albani)
three times in the morning and evening, and reciting Say: He is Allah, the One, and the two chapters of protection (al-Mu’awwidhatayn) three times after the dawn prayer and three times after the sunset prayer. All of this is among the means of well-being from the evil of everyone.
Likewise, as mentioned earlier:
Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alimباسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء، في الأرض، ولا في السماء، وهو السميع العليم
Sunan Ibn Majah 3869
three times in the morning and evening. This is among the means of well-being and safety from all evil. The believer should make it a habit, and the believing woman likewise, in the morning and evening.
Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'a ismihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Alimباسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمهه شيء، في الأرض، ولا في السماء، وهو السميع العليم
Sunan Ibn Majah 3869
three times in the morning and evening. This is among the means of well-being from all evil, the evil of women and men alike, and from the evil of other creatures.
And the advice for every believing woman, and for every believing man, is to fear Allah, to beware of wronging people, and to beware of harming people in word or deed. We ask Allah for guidance for everyone. Yes.

The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
