From the Virtues of the Martyr

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is the martyr who did not die in the hour of battle held accountable, and the martyrs are categories—as we know? Does he intercede for seventy people? Is he held accountable for everything? Is he excused from everything except debt?

Answer:
It has come in the authentic hadiths that the martyr is forgiven for everything except debt. So the martyr who was killed in the path of Allah, patient, counting on reward, facing forward and not turning back; he is forgiven for everything, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, except debt. He said:
For Jibril informed me of thatفإن جبرائيل أخبرني بذلك
And the right of the one who has a debt is not lost; rather, Allah satisfies him regarding his right, and gives him his right on the Day of Resurrection, and nothing is lost for him. The martyr is forgiven for everything, but the debt that is upon him, Allah settles it for him it is not lost for its owner. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. The martyr who did not die in the battle.

Answer : As long as he died because of the wounds; he is a martyr. As long as it is because of the wounds that... him in the path of Allah, patient, counting on reward, facing forward, not turning back, whether he died in the battle, or his death was delayed by days and nights, but he died because of the wounds that afflicted him.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. Perhaps she is asking about the other categories of martyrs, Your Eminence?

Answer : The martyrs are categories, but the best of them is the martyr of the battle in the path of Allah . Among them is the one struck by the plague: the one who dies of the plague, and the one with abdominal pain who dies of diarrhea in the belly, and the one crushed by a collapse who has a wall or roof fall on him. And in his ruling is the one who dies by being run over by cars, cars overturning, and cars colliding; this is of the same kind as collapse. And likewise drowning. All these are types of martyrdom, but the best of them is the martyr of the battle, and he is the one who is not washed, and no prayer is performed over him. As for the rest, they are washed, and prayer is performed over them, even if they are martyrs. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. Do they intercede? Are they excused from everything they did except debt, or is that specific?

Answer : This is how the authentic hadith came regarding the martyr of the battle, and that if he is patient, counting on reward, facing forward and not turning back, this came regarding the martyr of the battle. As for others, Allah knows best. They have virtue, and they have good, but that they intercede for such and such, or that they are forgiven for everything, this is a matter of consideration; it requires specific evidence. But they have virtue, the virtue of martyrdom. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
