The ruling on seeking healing through amulets and what is intended by them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: In our village and the neighboring villages, when we are afflicted with an illness, we go to the village imam and ask him for an amulet. Is this correct?

Answer:
This is not permissible. This is a denounced act. Amulets are denounced, and they are called tamimah, and they are called huroz, and some people call them jawami'. They are denounced and not permissible, and the imam is not to give you these amulets; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hangs a talisman, Allah will not complete his affair, and whoever hangs a charm, Allah will not grant him peace.من تعلق تميمة؛ فلا أتم الله له، ومن تعلق ودعة؛ فلا ودع الله له
And in another narration:
Whoever hangs up a tamimah has committed shirk (associating partners with Allah)من تعلق تميمةً؛ فقد أشرك
.
Tamimah are not permissible, and they are the amulets. One does not hang them on his arm, nor on his neck, neither the man, nor the woman, nor the child, nor the adult. All of this is denounced, even if they are from the Qur'an, or from permissible supplications. It is not permissible; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) generalized and made it absolute, and did not exclude anything—(peace and blessings be upon him)—and also to block the means to harm. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
