Ruling on applying a substance to the hair that softens it for a long period

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
You also said: Some sisters with coarse hair apply a substance to their hair that softens it significantly, and the effect of this substance lasts for approximately six months, then its effect ceases and the hair returns to how it was. One of them told me that she notices as if there is something on the hair, and she fears that it prevents water from reaching the hair during ablution, so she no longer uses it. What is your guidance? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: If there is a benefit in it, there is nothing wrong with it. If there is a benefit in it and it is a pure substance, there is nothing wrong with it, like henna and its like; there is nothing wrong with it. And you wipe over it, just as you wipe over the head that has traces of henna and the like on it. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
