The ruling on congregational prayer for one who does not hear the call to prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener, Awad Allah al-Tayyib, is of Sudanese nationality and resides in Libya. He says: My work requires my presence there all the time, and the mosque is far from it...

The Shaykh : Repeat, repeat.

Question : Once again, he says: My work requires my presence there all the time, and the mosque is far from it such that I do not hear the adhan. What is the opinion of the religion regarding my praying alone?

Answer:
If you do not hear the adhan despite the quietness of the sounds, and the time is free of anything that prevents hearing the voice, then you are not required to attend. However, if the reason you do not hear the adhan is the presence of sounds, or winds that prevent the voice from reaching your direction, or something similar, then it is different. If the sounds were quiet and the atmosphere calm, you would have heard it, then you are required to attend. This is because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.من سمع النداء فلم يأت فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Bulugh al-Maram 2:308
. If you strive in this matter and seek to pray with the Muslims, even if you are far away, it is better for you, more excellent for you, and further removes you from doubt, along with the great reward for performing the prayer in congregation. But you are not required to do so unless you hear the call at the time when the call is heard, with no obstacles preventing the voice of the mu'adhdhin. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
