The ruling on the Friday prayer for one who does not hear the call to prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the questions of this questioner, O Shaykh, he says, may Allah preserve you: that he works as a shepherd in the desert, and he does not reach his town to pray the Friday prayer, and this has been the case for two years. He says there is no mosque near us. What is the ruling in this matter?
Answer:
If he is far from the mosques and does not hear the call to prayer, the Friday prayer is not obligatory on him. If he is in the desert with the camels, or with the cows, or with the sheep as a shepherd, the Friday prayer is not obligatory on him; he prays the midday prayer. But if he is in the town, he prays the Friday prayer with the people. As for if he is far away in the desert and does not hear the call to prayer, he prays the midday prayer. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
