The Meaning of the Hadith: "Whoever hears the call..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The questioner, S. M. M. from Tanta in the Arab Republic of Egypt, says in his question: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hears the call and does not come, his prayer is not valid, except for those who have an excuse.
Sunan Ibn Majah 793Sahih (Darussalam)
Your Eminence, the times have changed, and loudspeakers have been installed in the mosques, and they reach a very far distance. So, does the meaning of the hadith
Whoever hears the call
apply without loudspeakers? Or what? And is there an estimate for this in meters or kilometers? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you.

A: The intended meaning is hearing the voice of the caller without a loudspeaker, when the sounds are quiet and there are no obstacles, and this is known by the continuous custom when there is no obstacle.
And the believer must strive in this and be cautious regarding his religion, and that is by being keen to attend the congregation and participate with his brothers in this great act of worship, in compliance with the saying of the Exalted:
Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and stand before Allah, devoutly obedient.
[al-Baqarah: 238] and His saying (peace and blessings be upon him) :
And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].
[al-Baqarah: 43].
And the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone keeps to it, it will be light, evidence and salvation for him on the day of resurrection; but if anyone does not keep to it, it will not be for him light, evidence, or salvation, and on the day of resurrection he will be associated with Qarun, Pharaoh, Haman, 1 and Ubayy b.
Mishkat al-Masabih 578
narrated by Imam Ahmad with a good chain of narration.
And in Sahih Muslim, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) , that a blind man said: O Messenger of Allah, I have no guide to lead me to the mosque, so do I have a dispensation to pray in my house? So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
Do you hear the call to prayer?
He said: Yes. He said:
Then respond.
.
And in Sahih Muslim also, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) , that he said: "Whoever likes to meet Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let him guard these prayers where they are called for, for Allah has prescribed for your Prophet the sunnahs of guidance, and they are among the sunnahs of guidance. And if you prayed in your houses as this laggard prays in his house, you would have abandoned the sunnah of your Prophet, and if you abandoned the sunnah of your Prophet, you would have gone astray. And I have seen us, and none lagged behind them except a hypocrite or a sick person, and indeed a man would be brought, supported between two men, until he was placed in the row."
And the hadiths in this meaning are many, and may Allah guide all the Muslims to what pleases Him, for He is Generous and Bountiful.
