The virtue of giving charity to poor relatives

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message reached the program from a listener who identified himself by the letters (H. B. A). He asked a number of questions, one of which reads: Is it valid to give charity to relatives or not? And should we return our charities and give charity in food or money? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, charity to relatives is both maintaining kinship ties and charity. It carries two rewards: the reward of maintaining kinship ties and the reward of charity, if they are poor. They are more deserving than others, and charity given to them is doubled. It is maintaining kinship ties and charity. As for the wealthy, it becomes a gift. If you give it to them as a gift, this is maintaining kinship ties. ... This is maintaining kinship ties and one of the causes of love, affection, closeness, and the purity of hearts.
So, give charity. I advise you, O questioner! And others who hear this word, I advise everyone to give charity, to speak kindly, to make du'a' for the Muslims, and to make du'a' for your relatives and brothers for success and guidance, and for the rectification of intention, speech, and action. All of this is required.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
