The ruling on a woman making herself available to a husband who does not pray

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From Jeddah, a letter was sent by one of the female listeners, saying: Umm Yasser, our Egyptian sister, has a case in which she says: My mother did not pray, then we taught her prayer, and praise be to Allah, she responded and persisted in prayer by the grace of Allah. She also got rid of the beliefs of shirk (associating partners with Allah), such as believing in the benefit of the dead and the like. However, we have a father who does not pray, and she is still emotionally and spiritually connected to him. What is your opinion on this matter? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Praise be to Allah for her guidance. However, she must not make herself available to her husband who does not pray, because abandoning prayer is major shirk (associating partners with Allah). Therefore, she must stay away from him and tell him that she is not lawful for him. You should also tell him so that he repents. If he repents and prays, then he is her husband. If he continues to abandon prayer, then he becomes forbidden to her. We ask Allah for guidance for us and for him. Yes.

The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
