Ruling on holding a lesson before the Friday adhan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Also, the listener Muhammad Abdulaziz Muhammad from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Irbid, asks and says: What is your opinion, Your Eminence, regarding a lesson that is delivered every Friday, specifically before the adhan, and continues until the adhan is raised? Is this lesson from the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
I do not know of any harm in it; I do not know of any harm in it. It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to do this. It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he... would hold this lesson before the imam enters, and when the adhan was called, he would leave it. If people leave it to recite the Qur'an, remember Allah, and make du'a, that is good—if Allah wills. And if they do it occasionally, that is also easier. As for continuing with it every day, every day, perhaps leaving it is better; because it may occupy people from reciting the Qur'an, from making du'a, from supplicating to Allah, from tasbih and tahlil, and the like. They may get bored, or they may become weak in listening to the Friday khutbah. So perhaps that is better. And if they do it occasionally, I hope there is no harm in it, as this was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) . Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
