The Ruling on Delaying the 'Isha' Prayer in Hope of Great Reward

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message was received by the program from one of the listening brothers, who says: "Is there a sin upon me for delaying the 'Isha' prayer without an excuse, but I hope from Allah, the Most High, the Most Mighty, for the greatest reward? May Allah reward you with good."

The Shaykh: Repeat.

The presenter: Is there a sin upon me for delaying the 'Isha' prayer without an excuse, but I hope from Allah, the Most High, the Most Mighty, for the greatest reward? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If you are healthy, it is obligatory for you to pray with the people in the mosque; this is what is obligatory for you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.من سمع النداء فلم يأت فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Bulugh al-Maram 2:308
Therefore, it is obligatory for you to pray with the people, and it is not permissible for you to delay, nor to pray at home under any circumstances. However, if you are excused due to illness, you may delay until before the middle of the night; do not delay past the middle of the night... the night, or what is close to that, is fine. This is better if there is hardship upon you, but it is not permissible for you to delay after the middle of the night if you are an excused sick person. As for the one who is able, he prays with the people, and it is not permissible for him to delay. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
