Ruling on wiping the hair during wudu after applying oil to it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Does hair oil prevent the validity of wudu?

Answer:
Applying oil or other types of oils to the hair does not prevent wiping it during wudu, nor washing it for janabah, menstruation, or post-natal bleeding. This is based on what is established from Umm Salim (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: “O Messenger of Allah, I tie my hair tightly. Should I untie it for the washing of janabah and menstruation?” He said:
it is enough for you to throw three handfuls over your head, then pour water over yourself, and you will be purifiedإنما يكفيك أن تحثي على رأسك ثلاث حثيات، ثم تفيضين عليك الماء، فتطهرين
Mishkat al-Masabih 438
It was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, and there are other proofs regarding this.
