How to Deal with Whispers in Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
For the question:
A person is afflicted with many whispers, especially during prayer. What should he do?

Answer:
He should seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed, and guard against the whispers, focusing on his prayer. By doing so, he will be safe from the whispers, if Allah wills. This is based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) :
And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is Hearing and Knowing.وَإِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
[Al-A'raf: 200], and because when some of the Companions complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about whispers in prayer, he ordered him to spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from Satan three times. The Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) , who was Uthman ibn Abi al-As al-Thaqafi, said: "I did that, and Allah removed from me what I was feeling." And success is from Allah.
