Ruling on Reciting Two Supplications from the Supplications of Opening the Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for me to recite the following supplication along with the opening supplication: "O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the East from the West. O Allah, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. O Allah, wash away my sins with water, snow, and hail"? In other words, is it permissible for me to say both supplications together after the takbir of ihram, because I have become accustomed to doing so and I fear that there may be sin in it?

Answer:
It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) various types of opening supplications, including the one you mentioned in your question. It is narrated that when he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say the first takbir in prayer, he would pause for a moment and say:
Allahuma ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib; Allahumma naqqini min khatayaya kama yunaqqa ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas; Allahumma ighsilni min khatayaya bil ma'i wa ath-thalji wal-barad. (O Allah, put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West; O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed from filth; O Allah, wash away my sins with water and snow and hail).اللهم باعد بيني وبين خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق والمغرب، اللهم نقني من خطاياي كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس، اللهم اغسلني من خطاياي بالماء والثلج والبرد
Sunan an-Nasa'i 895Sahih (Darussalam)
This is agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) , and it is the most authentic of the opening supplications. Among them is that he would say:
Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك وتبارك اسمك وتعالى جدك ولا إله غيرك
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 243Hasan (Darussalam)
, and this is the most concise of them. 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to teach it to the people, and it is narrated from the hadith of 'Umar, 'Aishah, and Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them) through chains that strengthen one another.
Among them is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
O God, the Lord of Gabriel, Michael and Israfil, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who knowest the unseen and the seen, Thou decidest among Thy servants concerning their differences. Guide me on account of different opinions regarding the truth by Thy permission; verily Thou guidest whom Thou wilt to a straight path.
Mishkat al-Masabih 1212
Imam Muslim narrated it in his Sahih. There are other types as well, and it is best for the believer to recite this one at times and that one at other times.
As for combining two or more opening supplications, I do not know of any hadith in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did so. Therefore, it is preferable to leave it, unless it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in any of the hadiths that he combined two opening supplications. And success is from Allah.
