What is the most authentic supplication for the opening of the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the most authentic supplication for the opening of the prayer?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. The most authentic supplication for the opening of the prayer is what Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pause for a moment after saying the takbir for the prayer. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: “By my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah, what do you say in your silence between the takbir and the recitation?” He said: “I say:
Allahuma ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta bayna al-mashriqi wal-maghrib; Allahumma naqqini min khatayaya kama yunaqqa ath-thawb al-abyad min ad-danas; Allahumma ighsilni min khatayaya bil ma'i wa ath-thalji wal-barad. (O Allah, put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West; O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed from filth; O Allah, wash away my sins with water and snow and hail). اللهم باعد بيني وبين خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق والمغرب، اللهم نقني من خطاياي كما ينقى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس، اللهم اغسلني من خطاياي بالماء والثلج والبرد
Sunan an-Nasa'i 895Sahih (Darussalam)
And if one says something else from what has been transmitted, there is no harm, such as
Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You. سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك، وتبارك اسمك، وتعالى جدك، ولا إله غيرك
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 243Hasan (Darussalam)
It is better to say this one once and that one once, so that he performs both sunnahs. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah preserve you. He says.
