Questions six and seven from Fatwa No. ( 21139 )
Q 6: Is this form of the opening supplication: (Allah is the Greatest, the Great) three times, and (Praise be to Allah, abundantly) three times, (and Glory be to Allah, morning and evening) three times, valid? Or is it sufficient to say each of them once? And is it necessary to say after it: (I seek refuge in Allah from the Shaytan’s blowing, spitting, and whispering), or is it not?
A 6: It is established from the supplications for opening the prayer to say: (Allah is the Greatest, the Great,
and Praise be to Allah, abundantly, and Glory be to Allah, morning and evening) once, without repetition. Then, after that, it is prescribed for the one praying to begin with recitation, starting with seeking refuge, then the Basmalah, then Surat al-Fatihah.
