Question:
How was the prayer of the prophets before Islam, and how was the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions before the Night Journey and the Ascension?
Answer:
Allah knows best about the prayer of the prophets. We are commanded to perform the prayer that our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform. We must pray as he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 6008.
