The Prescribed Dhikr at Muzdalifah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A second question, and the second one is from the last caller from Jeddah. They ask: Are there specific supplications that the pilgrim recites at Muzdalifah, and what is al-Mash'ar al-Haram? We ask for an answer to our questions, with our thanks accepted?
Answer: At al-Mash'ar al-Haram, a person supplicates, and he remembers Allah as Allah has prescribed the remembrance. He remembers Allah while he supplicates. Allah the Exalted said: [Surat al-Baqarah: 198-199].
So when he arrives at al-Mash'ar, he remembers Allah; when he arrives at Muzdalifah, he says: There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things. There is no god but Allah alone, who fulfilled His promise and gave victory to His servant and defeated the confederates alone. Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah, and we worship none but Him. His is the favor, His is the grace, and His is the good praise. There is no god but Allah, sincere in our religion to Him, even if the disbelievers dislike it. He also strives in supplication and seeks forgiveness from his Lord, Blessed and Exalted is He. Yes.

But when you depart from 'Arafat, remember Allah at al- Mash'ar al-Haram. And remember Him, as He has guided you, for indeed, you were before that among those astray. (199) Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allah.
