What is the ruling on performing the full ritual bath after a wet dream if the person who had the wet dream is in a house that is not his own, and the situation is difficult? Is abstaining from doing so due to modesty?

The questioner: This question is possible, may Allah preserve you.

The Shaykh: Who is Muhammad?

The questioner: Muhammad Shuqara.

The Shaykh: Ah, okay, thank you.

The questioner: If I am a guest in the home of one of the Muslim brothers, and I have a wet dream during sleep, and I come to pray in the house, what is the status of the prayer when the time is tight for the bath?

The Shaykh: How do you mean? I did not understand. You had a wet dream.

The questioner: I had a wet dream while I was a guest.

The Shaykh: You had a wet dream?

The questioner: Yes, I had a wet dream.

The Shaykh: Yes, it is obligatory for you to perform the full ritual bath.

The questioner: I perform the bath and the place is difficult!

The Shaykh: What is difficult?

The questioner: It is difficult with...

Another questioner: The guests.

Another questioner: The guests, you mean.

The Shaykh: May Allah guide you, where is the difficulty? You are a man, and others are men too.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: Just as he relieves himself, you relieve yourself, and just as he takes a bath, you take a bath.

The questioner: In his house.

The Shaykh: O Shaykh, may Allah guide you, I understood you wrong.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: So understand what I am saying.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh: This is modesty, but it is not a religiously prescribed modesty, as it came in "Sahih Muslim":
May Allah have mercy on the women of the Ansar; their modesty did not prevent them from seeking knowledge in the religion. رَحِمَ الله نساء الأنصار ؛ لم يمنَعْهنَّ حياؤهنَّ أن يتفقَّهْنَ في الدِّين
Jurisprudence includes what is obligatory and what is less than that; some of it is an individual obligation and some of it is a collective obligation. If one does not fulfill this collective obligation, there is no sin on him. So Lady A'ishah praised the women of the Ansar with general praise and said what:
May Allah have mercy on the women of the Ansar; their modesty did not prevent them from seeking knowledge in the religion. رَحِمَ الله نساء الأنصار ؛ لم يمنَعْهنَّ حياؤهنَّ أن يتفقَّهْنَ في الدِّين
So you are a Muslim, it is obligatory for you to perform the full ritual bath. Does modesty prevent you from an individual obligation?! This is a cold modesty that has no value.
