Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, we move to al-Muzaymiyah via a message sent by one of the female listeners. The questioner, Umm 'Abadah, has a number of questions, one of which says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If anyone, prays the dawn prayer in a company, then sits making mention of God till the sun rises, then prays two rak'as, he will have a reward equivalent to that for a hajja * and an ‘ umra .” He reported God’s Messenger as adding, “A perfect one, a perfect one, a perfect one.”من صلى الفجر في جماعة، ثم قعد يذكر الله تعالى حتى تطلع الشمس، ثم صلى ركعتين؛ كانت كأجر حجة وعمرة تامة تامة تامة
Mishkat al-Masabih 971
Does this reward also apply to women if they pray in their homes? And is it a condition for this reward that the prayer be in congregation? In other words, does a woman who prays in her home alone, without a congregation, and sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, receive that reward? Please guide us. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, that is hoped for her. This great good is hoped for her. Yes.

The presenter : Regarding the prayer mentioned in this hadith: Does it take place immediately after the sun rises?

The Shaykh : It is after the sun has risen the length of a spear, meaning: after a quarter of an hour, or something like that, from the sunrise.

The presenter : May Allah bless you.
