The Best Times for the Witr Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent to the program from Libya by one of the sisters there. She used the letters (T. A. F.) as a code for her name. In the introduction to her message, she says: I am sending this message to the best program I have listened to so far, because of the great benefit it offers to me and to all Muslims in every part of the earth. And I swear by Allah that I constantly call upon the Exalted to illuminate your hearts, just as you have illuminated the minds of Muslims with your knowledge. I have some questions, one of which is about the witr prayer: I pray the rak'ahs of witr, then I sleep, and then I get up in the last third of the night and pray two rak'ahs as a voluntary prayer. Is this practice permissible, or do you advise me to delay the witr to the end of the night?

Answer:
This is a good practice. If it is difficult for you to get up in the last part of the night, you have done a good thing, which is to pray the witr in the first part of the night. Then, when you get up in the last part of the night, you pray two rak'ahs, or more than that; all of it is good. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
Whoever fears that he will not be able to get up in the last part of the night, let him pray the witr in the first part of it. And if he hopes to be able to get up in the last part of the night, let him pray the witr in the last part of the night, for the prayer in the last part of the night is witnessed, and that is better.من خاف ألا يقوم من آخر الليل؛ فليوتر أوله، فإن طمع أن يقوم آخر الليل؛ فليوتر آخر الليل، فإن صلاة آخر الليل مشهودة، وذلك أفضل
.
So, whoever is able to pray in the last part of the night should delay it to the last part of the night, and that is better, because the prayer in the last part of the night is witnessed, witnessed by Allah and His angels. But if he is not able to, he prays the witr in the first part of the night. And if Allah makes it easy for him to get up in the last part of the night, he prays whatever is easy for him other than the witr, as the first witr is sufficient for him. He prays two rak'ahs, or he prays four rak'ahs with two taslims, or more than that, saying taslim after every two. But he does not repeat the witr; the first witr is sufficient for him. And praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
