Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener (M. A. S.) from Riyadh sent a question, saying: “My esteemed Shaykh: I have a debt to my friend. Contact with him has been cut off, and I do not know his address now. I want to pay what I owe, so what is the means? Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.”

Answer:
It is prescribed for you to give it in charity on his behalf, and Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) will benefit him through it, and your liability will be cleared. When he comes to you seeking his right, give him the choice. If he accepts the charity, it is his. If he does not accept it, you receive the reward for it, and you give him his right. Praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
