Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A listener who identified himself as Salih al-Mubarak sent a message containing a collection of questions:
Among them was a question asking: Is it permissible to give charity to mosques?

Answer:
Yes, giving charity to mosques is good. Building and maintaining mosques is among the best acts of drawing near to Allah, provided the charity is voluntary and not zakah.
