Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner in this question says: What is narrated in the hadith: “That in Paradise there is a gate called al-Riyan, and no one enters it except the fasting people.” Does this mean: Are the fasting people intended to be those who fast only the month of Ramadan, or those who fast the recommended fasts, such as Mondays and Thursdays and the white days? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

Answer:
The intended meaning is: the fasting people are those who fast the obligatory fast, those who maintain the fast of the obligation, Ramadan, and so on, and what Allah has obligated upon them of expiation fasts and vow fasts. These people have a gate; the gate of al-Riyan, they enter with it, and when they enter; it is closed.
And if they have other deeds, they are called from many gates, but they enter from this gate, the gate of fasting. And the believer who establishes the prayer, pays the alms, fasts Ramadan, and fears Allah; is called from all the gates, but this gate is not entered with except by the fasting people who maintained the performance of the obligatory fast, yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
