Question:
A message was received by the program from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, sent by one of the listeners from there. He is Abu Anwar. Abu Anwar has more than one question; in one of his questions, he says: A dispute occurred between a man and his wife’s family, and he swore an oath and said: “My wife will be divorced with three divorces if she goes to visit her family, whether it is her parents, her sisters, or her relatives.” However, no dispute occurred between him and his wife after this oath and vow. What should the man do if he wants to clear his conscience and allow his wife to go to her family, knowing that his son will marry from his wife’s family?

Answer:
He should contact the court and ask the court, and they will inform him about what happened to him. Or he can write to us, and we will look into the matter and inform him, if Allah wills, through the court. Yes.

The presenter: He writes again...

The Shaykh: In writing, yes. He mentions his address. Did he mention his address?

The presenter: Only from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah.

The Shaykh: No, he mentions his specific address, a specific address. If he mentions the address, then after that we will answer him, if Allah wills. Or he contacts the court, and that is sufficient. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
