السؤال:
A message was received by the program from Makkah al-Mukarramah, sent by one of the sisters from there, who used the code name Umm Hunayn. Umm Hunayn has a collection of questions, among which is one that says: I am a girl who prays, and in every prayer I recite the Noble Qur'an, and I complete it within a few days, but I have not memorized anything by heart through my recitation. I want to memorize it and not forget it. How can I do that? Please guide us. May Allah reward you a thousand times over.
Answer:
You must ask the Lord (Exalted and Majestic is He). Ask Allah the Exalted, and supplicate to Him that Allah will help you to memorize His Book. Read at the appropriate times when the heart is free, at night, or during the day, a little at a time. Whenever you memorize a little, move on to another little portion, until you have memorized it, if Allah wills.
And you must engage in supplication, asking Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He), for He the Exalted is the One who said: [Surat al-Furqan: 60] and He the Exalted is the One who said: [Surat al-Baqarah: 186].
So ask Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) in your prayer, in prostration, at the end of the prayer before the closing salam, at the end of the night on Friday. Ask Allah, saying: O Allah, make it easy for me to memorize Your Book. O Allah, help me to memorize Your Book. O Allah, grant me success in memorizing it and acting upon it. Ask Allah, and supplicate to Him, and be glad with good news. Yes.
The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
