Encouraging Marriage to a Righteous Woman

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: It is better for the young Muslim man to seek a righteous wife, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The best of worldly possessions is a righteous wifeخير متاع الدنيا الزوجة الصالحة
If he does not find one, and finds a wife who may be preferred over her, should he marry her? And may Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh?

Answer:
If a righteous wife is made easy for him, let him strive for her; because of his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
A woman may be married for four reasons: for her property, her status. her beauty and her religion, so try to get one who is religious, may your hand be besmeared with dust.تنكح المرأة لأربع: لمالها، ولحسبها، ولجمالها، ولدينها؛ فاظفر بذات الدين تربت يداك
Sahih Muslim 1466
and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
And the best of her possessions is a righteous wifeوخير متاعها الزوجة الصالحة
Let him strive for a righteous wife who preserves the religion of Allah, preserves the prayer, is far from the accusation of lewd acts, and is far from other sins. He should strive, perhaps he will find her.
If he does not find one, he should marry whoever is made easy for him, as long as she is a Muslim woman of modesty. He should marry her even if she has a deficiency, if she is not known among people for competing in righteous deeds, and is not known for being distant from some of the sins out of necessity:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun:16] As long as she is a Muslim, praise be to Allah. But if a sound woman known for uprightness and good character traits is made easy for him, let him strive for her as much as possible.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, Your Eminence the Shaykh.
